Thanks to Craig for the heads up of this afternoon’s unfortunate shooting in Edgewater. Shots were fired at 5432 North Winthrop and possibly at the Catalpa and Winthrop intersection as well. One female was hit in the arm with a bullet, and is in fair condition. Witnesses say two male blacks, white tee shirts were seen fleeing the scene. Victim may know offenders. About half the street is currently blocked off by Chicago PD squad cars and crime scene tape on Winthrop between Balmoral and Catalpa. Tried to snap a shot of the scene with my camera phone but it did not come out, unfortunately.
