Transistor moving to North Center

Andersonville’s unique electronics/arts/music boutique store Transistor (5045 N Clark) is planning to move from their current location on Clark Street to Lincoln Avenue in North Center.  We first reported about Transistor opening in 2009, and the store quickly drew attention by bumping beats, hosting small concerts and movie showings.  Owners Andy and Rani cite the need for lower rents as being the main driver behind the decision, and hope to move into the space that was formerly Deadwax Records for 10 years at 3819 N Lincoln either when they find a sublessor or when their current lease expires next year.
