I am the owner of Pizzeria Aroma. Allow me to say this. In today’s current lending climate, even these developers cannot get money without leases of national tenants in place. The idea that they really have not lined up tenant is quite simply misinformation intended to create the illusion that the community somehow we’ll have some type of input on who goes there.These developers only care about net profit and limited liability. Whatever company is going to give them the most money per square foot while having the strongest and most stable financials will get the space. Lance Chody and Bart Friedman aren’t amateurs and are experienced and resourceful developers who have a big rolodex of contacts. They”ll fill that space who they want you. and my experience has been the higher you move up the food chain in real estate, the last honestyand transparency you will find. Just imagine what Donald sterling and Donald Trump are like.I appreciate the love 4 pizzeria aroma. Rest assured no matter what happens, we aren’t going anywhere

I don’t have a lot of hope for promising businesses based on some of the recent new ones. All retail space will eventually be occupied by CVS and Sleepy’s, I’m convinced. Zzzz. (Although I do recognize that anything is better than empty…it would just be nice to have some retail to get excited about.)

yep. and how many times does TJ and the alderman need to make it clear. THEY AREN’T INTERESTED IN EDGEWATER. Demographics matter, that’s why increasing the market rate housing numbers matter. Another strip mall is going the wrong direction.

Hopefully the Mrurray strip mall will be torn down and replace with a TOD development. It is steps away from the Berwyn L stop and would qualify for TOD reductions in parking quota.

Please attract promising businesses…need great sold anchor Trader Joe’s? …..the strip mall across the street does not service the neighborhood. Get going alderman’s office…attract busy up in our hood.
