Plans to permanently close the 6300 block of North Kenmore are moving forward, as local community groups and Alderman Osterman have put their support behind Loyola University’s plans.

kenmore already has a bike path, as does winthrop to the west. we need to get people to use them more vs. biking up sheridan in the street or on the sidewalk.

Is loyala buying this property from the ciy? Id love to expand my front yard by closing the street in front of my house.

While I like more open, green spaces, I’m strongly against the further privatization of public land. Chicago’s public goods are being sold off part and parcel.

That little stretch of road sees alot of traffic every day…now it’s closed. Neighborhood also just lost a whole block of street parking, both sides. And loyola is planning on putting a fence up on rosemont. How exactly does this benefit the neighborhood?
