Hamilton’s to close after 80 years

A long time Edgewater bar that is a favorite of Loyola University students will be closing it’s doors after nearly 80 years.

Back in the late 1970s, the big joke among us Loyola students was that the pizza was served on paper plates wrapped in aluminum foil. The plates were reused: rewrapped each time in new foil. A few students proved it by signing the plates and seeing them turn up on future visits. Of course this was even funnier after a pitcher or two of beer.
