A real estate design firm has a vision to transform an outdated two bedroom home on Magnolia into a unique sleek modern four bedroom palace.  Design firm Nicholas Design Collaborative has named the project the “Periscope House” due to the proposed addition to the home that jets out from the second level toward the road and even beyond the brick garden wall, which will “create a provocative and sculptural element in contrast to its visually heavy neighbors.”

According to their website, in addition to saving the brick garden wall, the existing structure of both the building and the roof will also be salvaged, saving construction waste from being sent to the landfill.  The state of the art home will also be equipped with other green features such as spray foam insulation, radiant heating coils embedded in the concrete first floor with heat generated by a high efficient boiler that also provides heat for the forced system, heating at the second floor and domestic hot water.  The roof will also support Photovoltaic or Solar panels if the new owner wishes to have them installed.

A complete description of the home can be found here, and many more renderings of what the home will look like when finished can be found on most real estate websites such as Trulia, which pulls from the MLS , where it is listed for $925,000.
