Barry’s Spot Pizza (5757 N Broadway) recently received the dreaded big orange sticker on the front of their business.

    Never been in there but the side door directly to the kitchen (facing Ardmore) used to always be open during the summertime.

    I’ve eaten here a few different times (mainly because I was lazy and didn’t feel like walking somewhere better) and thankfully have never become ill. However… I did notice both in the dining area and via that side door, kitchen conditions were far less than stellar, not to mention how dirty the kitchen staff looked as they were puffing their afternoon cigarettes.

    I truly hope they get their act together and bring their business back up to code. Barry’s served as a decent alternative to more expensive pizzas and it would a shame to see yet another empty store front along Broadway. I just drove by yesterday and it was looking pretty sad. C’mon guys, get your act together!

    we are blessed with so many great restaurants in edgewater and barry’s has always been mediocre.
