  I would like to know when BF is going to remove their “outdoor cafe” from the sidewalk. It’s no longer needed so why is it still cutting off half of the walkway?

  In this economy, it this advertisment keeps the Pumphouse open and people employeed, I think it is a good thing for both them and the neighborhood.

      “In this economy” – our economy is Capitalism, which can either do well or poorly.

      “The state of the economy” – can be good, bad, etc..

      When the economy takes a turn for the better will the phrase “in this economy” then mean something positive?

  It’s tasteless, but I’m not surprised since the guy who owns Pumping Co seems like a slick d-bag. I’ve definitely seen him letting Loyola frat guys in with their much younger, high school-aged siblings on some kind of douchey frat guy brothers weekend event. I’m not talking about a bartender, I’m talking about the owner, there on a Saturday night arranging everything and making sure the future date rapers of america could have a good time underage drinking.

  Are they doing that poorly that they need to desperately advertise somewhere else in the neighborhood? Don’t they see that the recent shooting outside their bar has already created a sense of ad aura around their establishment? It’s going to take more than a tacky sign to lure customers-I am sure people very well know where the bar is.
